How Much Drink Do You Need to Have

Your thirst will tell you how much you need to drink. You don’t need to drink extra milk in order to make breast milk. Choose diluted fruit juice, squash, water and small amounts of tea and coffee. Choose some milk to supply calcium, vitamins and protein.

Choosing the Right Diet

Wating well is important during both pregrancy and breast feeding. Choosing foods from each of the food graoups: cerals, fruit & vegetables, meat / fish & pulses and dairy products will keep your diet varied and should provide all the nourishment you need. You will probably need about 400 - 600 extra calories per day. Your appetite will be a good guide to this.
